I do not like scroll jacking. Very seldom is it even “cool” when you see it. Most of the time it is simply hard to know how many times I have to scroll in order to see the next few words.

@cdevroe I dislike it also. Thankfully, I am certain it will follow the trail blazed by marquees, aqua buttons, scrollbar styling, tiny font sizes etc… straight into eventual oblivion

@cdevroe The more bells and whistles are added to websites to make it look cool, the lessmore I feel tempted to just look at the cool effects, not read the text. I suppose this is what happens if content, layout and functionality are seperated out as their own entities and have their own specialists.

@warner No, it is when you scroll and information is revealed as you do. Like this. Which is very cool and fun but not when all you want is the information!

@cdevroe doesn't really do it on the apple example on iPad Safari & Duck, but I've seen Apple do it well on prev. But imagine others like me couldn't pull it off!
