  • Apple Music subscription expires tonight ->
  • Tomorrow I rebuild and finish the reclaimation of my library ->
  • I can then properly sync my iPod with playlists and all ->
  • Choose a day to find the best hardware player (first thought is Sony).

Love the iPod but it’s a dead product.

A part of this idea -- which exists within my onging effort to better sharpen my mind for focus and acting with intention -- will include something I've been interested in for a while; iTunes Match. I look forward to finding out if it works as well as many people say it does so.

@simonwoods I’ve been an iTunes Match customer ever since it was first available. I use Apple Music for discovery, but I still buy music and I love the fact that I can pull music up from my library that still isn't available to stream or purchase from any other service.

@jsonbecker @hjalm So far, so good. The Music app is weird though, with regard to how playlists work when they contain entirely Apple Music tracks. It won't be a problem in the long term but this kind of disfunction is why I'm less and less enamoured with streaming services as a whole.

@simonwoods I bet that’s a problem. My playlists are entirely built around music I have purchased or ripped. I will say that one playlist I published recently took days before the full track list was available to stream.

@hjalm I wouldn't be surprised if it did update accurately for me soon. Seems to be the way with their services recently; it will likely get the job done eventually, without any indication that it is doing anything.
