Is this only me: I browse the micro.blog timeline, enjoy the posts and comments and find a link. I click, read and press the back button to go back to where you where.

But. It throws me back to the beginning of the timeline. Or below it. But almost never to the same place as before.

Why?

@muhh @help it does this for me too – I try to open all links in new tabs so I don’t lose my spot 🤷‍♀️

@tracydurnell thanks for your feedback, really. I was reading the timeline for quite some time in my feed reader and when I stopped I instantly knew why I switched there in the first place.

And I can’t make myself opening even more tabs to be honest ;)

@muhh @tracydurnell I hadn’t noticed that before, and it’s not happening to me on desktop. Maybe happens on mobile when low on memory and can’t keep the last page cached? Interesting.

@help I can reproduce it in Firefox on my linux machine.
I’m scrolling down, scroll a few pages down (clicking “show more”), find a link, click that, go back, land some place else.

I’ll try to make a screencast :)

@help I did some more testing. It works really well on Safari on MacOS and iOS. No problems at all.

I’m experiencing these issues in Arc on MacOS and Firefox on Linux though.
