I am usually fairly reticent about installing beta OSes on my devices, but I really want to install a beta of macOS 11 on my laptop to try and adjust to the new look. (My iMac, meanwhile, is still hanging out on Mojave.)

@chipotle if you’re running Catalina... then Big Sur is a must haha. It’s pretty stable and I haven’t looked back. Using it as my daily driver. The UI is super nice.

@vincent is it like no issues? Or mostly no issues? I want to try some of the new dual Mac/iOS app features in Xcode, but the betaness is making me hesitant 😕

@erullmann if I compared directly with Catalina... no issues 😜 There is a list of what does and doesn’t work... so check if there is anything that might trip you up.

Personally I’ve been working as normal... and it’s totally fine.

@vincent That list os pretty accurate on the doesn't work side, I’ve emails some of the Devs. A few are waiting till Beta #2 before they dive deep.

@vincent My MacBook Air has Catalina (its a 2020 model so it has to), and it's been better than I was expecting from horror stories, honestly. But Big Sur just seems like a really interesting and weird new take on the UI that I want to dive into.
