@hawaiiboy I still remember being 12 when this came out… the cover captivated me, and I wondered what the music on the vinyl was like. I didn't have to wait long to hear it, as an older friend who was into jazz had it. The sound of this album was unlike anything I'd heard before. The tunes were sophisticated, yet had an older, 'nostalgic' vibe to them. It would be a while before I realized that Fagen was also the voice of Steely Dan. Such a classic album!
