@Miraz I’ve been in this business a long time and talking to other people in the industry, people are looking for a place to go and not be over stimulated and just enjoy someone else’s company. I’d get a lot of industry people out of the chute. I could stay open late to cater to them.
@hawaiiboy A quiet pub with decent drinks and some basic food sounds great. A suggestion from one who doesn't drink alcohol: include a good selection of quality alcohol-free drinks too. 😀
@hawaiiboy Sounds like an excellent idea. As someone who grew up in NZ, British-style food really appeals. If we ever move to Kona, Jenn and I would be customers. I know that you have lots of relevant experience, and being your own boss would be nice.

At one stage you were thinking/planning of moving to the mainland. Is that now not on the table?
@crossingthethreshold COVID changed everything. Part of it, we saw the true colors of the people in different places in the US and the world.
@hawaiiboy Sorry, I'm just getting to this. I've been away from Micro.blog for a few days. I can see where COVID has made me look at decisions I had made, and see things in another light. I feel grateful to have been here on Maui through this pandemic.
