@dejus I just started working on getting my passport through iure sanguinis, I need to get a lot of info set up. I have family in Parma. Just started learning Italian language. If we do push it up, we may just go there and figure it out there.

My wife and I had strategy session last night. We definitely want to retire to Italy in a few years.

But if Trump wins the election, we will accelerate the timeline and likely move before the end of 2021 and plan on working in Italy for a few years, then retire.

@hawaiiboy Wow, that's quite a plan. Do you have citizenship or family there? I don't know what the requirements are. My wife and I are considering retiring to NZ, though that's a while off. I'm a dual US/NZ citizen, and my wife has NZ residency.
