@meandering I’m sure there are a lot of people who agree with you. On the other hand, I also feel that part of what makes Star Wars so special is that it’s literally a galaxy of different characters, species, planets, biomes, etc. It’s a galaxy who’s stories shouldn’t all fit into one tone of story. Personally, I’ve been enjoying following along with Mando as he opens up more of that galaxy to us and makes room for even more writers to flex their imaginations.
There’s definitely room for focused, dark and brooding Star Wars series (Obi-Wan and Andor were amazing and I’m looking forward to more.) but gunslinger’s and wandering ronin are only as interesting as the people they’re fighting for.
