@petebrown Perfect summation. I see it as a good reminder not to run my personal life according to “lean principles.”

@petebrown There's lean and then there is stupid. The NY Times reported they have no automated system to notify flight crews of changes, somebody has to track them down and talk to them. A single email server should have been able to handle that.

But they almost suggested that a point-to-point strategy is less resilient than a hub system, where flight crews end up in a central location and can be redistributed quickly.

Still, nobody died, as far as I know, they were just late.
