@Annie My cheat code is D&D - every Tuesday evening we virtually get together and play. Some people get on on early so we chat. Others have more time to stay a bit after so we catch up then. All the days in between, we use the game as an excuse to slide in conversations about real life.
I miss seeing them in person but this has proven to be the next best thing.
@gregmoore This is great. I'm new to D&D and the group I'm in but it's already one of my favorite times and the connections are great. I imagine that's pretty special after long sessions together and years of friendship.
@Annie Many adults deny the importance of playing in groups, writing it off as something only kids and retired people do. My D&D group has been a fantastic catalyst/motivator/excuse for creativity and friendship.
@gregmoore 100%. After every session I get a little mad at myself that I didn’t start playing sooner… it’s just so much fun to fully immerse in playing and imagination with people you like.
