👋 G Suite legacy free edition, it was.. fun? This was an easy one to start with but the family domain will take much longer 🤦‍♂️

@ericmwalk Good luck! Have you already figured out alternatives for the family account? The Goog’ is saying they’ll offer non-paid options before July 1 but I also wonder if other companies could use this opportunity to grow?

@gregmoore no I haven’t figured out an alternative yet for the family account. I am still on the fence about everything but I for my kids that don’t have a lot of data in google yet that will be easy. The harder part is all the other services of Google my wife and I use outside of Gmail. Honestly, Gmail is the least of my Google worries 😁. The nice thing is by moving this first one off completely (since I really only use email) I am dabbling around what I might be able to do to fit some other things that are a must have for the family (i.e., Google Drive - We use it too much to abandon it completely).

@ericmwalk As fun as it is to be upset with Google for pulling the rug from under a once free product, if you are getting value from it, there’s no harm in paying a reasonable amount to keep it intact. I was just looking to extract myself from Google as much as I could and their killing old G-suite accounts was just the push I needed to make it happen.

@gregmoore I do agree with you on that. I think for me I wish I could just move everything to personal ones and then pay for what I need as I feel since my domain name is in there, it kind of has a lock on me for more than I would like. Not sure if that makes sense or not.
