Burn victim. This tree was reduced to black and white by fire. It stands naked, falling as slowly as it grew, surrounded by the froth of grasses and coyote willow.
@cliffordbeshers It's contrast from the emerald grasses it stands in is stunning. It makes me imagine local kids giving it scary names like Bone Tree or The Witches Hand to cover their fear before daring each other to run out and touch it.
