So that Zoom, eh… that is working out well, huh.

@simonwoods I'm still using it every day. That's how much better it's worked for us than the others we've tried. Desperate times and measures and all.

@jack I can't believe by how much Apple has opted out of this market. Even without the pandemic this could be an effective way to lock people into the ecosystem and hands them all kinds of opportunities to further ramp up their privacy-centred marketing.

@simonwoods Good point. I love using Facetime, but usually only do that 1:1. Zoom has such a sketchy track record that I feel dirty using it but so far I'm accepting the tradeoff. Blech :).

@simonwoods I couldn't agree more with this. Microsoft has Teams and we use that for work. It works really well. With all the functionality Apple has, I cannot believe this is something they haven't tackled.

@jack This is hopefully an era of transition, as the world catches up with the technology-centred cultures those of us amongst the wealthy class have created. If enough of the global population agrees to make demands regarding privacy, security, and safety I think we'll have a good chance of creating a better basic standard across the board.

@greghiggins They surely have to see the current situation and understand where there are opportunities to properly enter this market. This is especially true when you think about just how hard they are pushing with wearable technology, since lots of people will view that primarily as a way to extend and enhance communication.

@simonwoods @jack That's a good point. Plus it was kind of disasterous last year when they tried rolling out the FaceTime with multiple people feature.
