Watching one of the 80s comedies I know I enjoyed as a kid. People back in the 80s really thought that sexism and homophobia (and a surprising amount of anti-unionism) were just plain funny, huh?
My excuse is that I was a dumb kid. Wonder what excuse the grownups had.
@baldur Every advancement in cultural evolution brings the thought: what were we thinking? My guess is the next step will be recognizing the cruelty of how we raise animals for food. (I’m not a vegan and I’m sure I account for some of that cruelty, despite that I eat only meat labeled “humanely raised.“)
