@help the one on my site was transient, it's now only there once. phew! Still showing up twice in the micro.blog timeline though.
@help no, the one on my site home page is back. They have two different urls. One is to the timestamp, and one to the three word url.
@garo @ReaderJohn @KimberlyHirsh @KevinEagan @rknightuk @Gaby I'm looking into these new "duplicate" issues... Could be a side effect of a recent optimization to updating the timeline. I'm also going to make a change so that it's easier to clean up these problems if they happen without deleting both posts.
@help I've been having problems too - emailed you yesterday. Had two posts duplicated. In each case removing one copy from the timeline left a single copy on my microblog but the posts are no longer shown under [Posts] so can't be further edited. I'm concerned that if the blog is republished I will lose those posts.
@help Arrghh! Just posted my entry for today's Photo Challenge and the previous two posts have disappeared from my blog! These were the duplicated posts that had previously disappered from under [Posts].
@frogplate Oh no, I’m so sorry. I made a change today that should’ve prevented this but it was probably rolled out too late. If you need me to try to retrieve the old text so you can repost it, send me another email. I’m still catching up and will reply to everything soon.
@help Thanks, luckily I was able to recover the text, so I can reconstruct the posts. I'll repost when things settle down. Is it possible to set the date of new posts in the past?
@help Curiously I've just discovered that the pages are still there on my microblog <frogplate.net/2022/05/2...> and <frogplate.net/2022/05/2...> but they don't appear in the site's home page or in the list of Posts in the micro.blog dashboard.
@help thanks, appreciate it. Could it have to do with editing the post after publishing? I didn't use schedule ahead for tonight's post. But I did fix some typos after posting, and now there are two posts again. The version with the timestamp url still has the typos.
@help I just had the duplicate post issue happen with analogoffice.net post this morning. fyi
@frogplate In the web version of Micro.blog, you should be able to edit the post to change the date.
