Listening to SiriusXM’s MLB channel play the 1962 NL tiebreaker game 3 between the Giants and Dodgers. Fun to hear names like Willie Mays, Orlando Cepeda, and Juan Marichal during the play-by-play.

@garciabuxton How cool is that! Almost makes me want Sirius again, but … well, I'm a picky listener.

@ReaderJohn I know what you mean. I also just discovered a bunch of MLB Radio specials to download; I'm on my second listen of a great 90-minute profile of Vin Scully. Incredibly compelling and soothing, as only Scully's voice could be.

@garciabuxton Do you have a link to the Vin Scully one?

@jmreekes Unfortunately, I don't have a web link to it. I found it on the SiriusXM app. But they don't make it easy; you have to go to the MLB Network channel, scroll down to the "On Demand From This Channel" section, then click on "MLB Network Radio Specials" and then scroll down to find the Scully program. The only thing I could find on the web about it is this brief blog post from when it first aired in 2016. Hope you can give it a listen; it's terrific.

@garciabuxton My uncle in Minneapolis listened to Game One of the ‘65 World Series on WCCO this afternoon. He tuned in on my great-grandfather’s 1941 Emerson radio. I’ll bet it sounded amazing.
