@hollie Thank you for writing this. My feelings about the whole affair are quite similar to what you describe. I’ll see what Reece has to say today, but based on everything he has said so far, I am not super optimistic.

@hollie I have similar feelings. Thanks for expressing it so well. I’m stymied why this has gone as far as it has, because it sure didn’t have to.

@hollie Thank you for writing this. Your words echoed my thoughts. I’ve been repeating my version of “Allyship is action, not geography” for years in this space. I’m trying to square all this with continuing to host meetups for this community, trying to provide a safe space to gather.

@cygnoir Thank you, I’m glad it resonated. It’s been a rough couple of days. Also, I would really still love to come to your meetups, if that’s at all possible! :)

@Annie Thanks! Yeah I keep thinking that, too. How attached you have to be to the wrong thing to let the right thing slip away right past you without picking it up.

@hollie The recognition of one’s own mistakes and a well articulated admission of them with a sincere offer of an amends is a basic tenet of recovery. It’s a principal to live by.
