I’ve been making websites for like 13 years now and I had to look up how to link to a favicon. Hope that makes you beginners out there feel better. No one can remember all this stuff.

@smith Over 20 years for me and I find the same things. Much has stayed the same but the details keep shifting around in the name of progress. Progress is sometimes annoying. Waves cane.

@smith I started in 1994 and I sometimes awake not remembering what a computer is.

@smith I started with small steps in 1994, and I’m still tip-toeing, making semi-useful pages. (Had a break 2002-2011, and discovered some things had changed).

@smith You’re not alone. I’ve been doing this for 25 years and I look up stuff every day.

So does my colleagues. Everything from the “but everyone knows this” to the “I have never heard of this”.

Like the <b> element in HTML. Do you know what it does today? Over half of my colleagues got it wrong.

Just keep learning!

@furstenberg and there I was thinking <b> and <strong> were interchangeable ...

@furstenberg haha! I have no idea what the &lt;b&gt; element does. I see a lot of people using to bold things, but I'd assume that isn't right.
