@simonwoods very well put. I’d add that if someone isn’t well mentally they probably aren’t fully able to assess the situation objectively, so what they feel/say should be taken with a grain of salt, either by others and by themselves.

@frederico Also important to remember that being "well mentally" isn't a fixed state. The fact is that the health of every single person is in constant flux and as such we should be much more forgiving of one another than appears to be the case in the current state of the public web.

@simonwoods very well said. I should have been more careful. Still, I didn’t say that to disregard someone else’s point of view, but to draw attention to the fact that we all can gain something by being less certain of what we think of things, as there’s no absolute guarantee that we are always seeing that clearly.
