Why the Unemployment Rate Isn’t Tanking the Stock Market
… as I have written before, Wall Street is nothing to do with Main Street.
What I still don’t understand is why they bother reporting the markets on national news. I mean why does it matter to us?
@JohnPhilpin Because the corporates want us to believe it matters to us, and corporations own the news.
@JohnPhilpin Also, many mainstreet types have the majority of their retirement savings in 401ks that is tied to Wall Street. The consquence is losing corporate pensions and no real government safety net is the forced alignment of personal interests with corporate interests.
