Apple already built the pieces. Shortcuts travel person to person with no review at all, and enterprise distribution has put apps on employee phones outside the App Store for years. I think they need to aim that same machinery at individuals. Maybe call it a $20/year “Personal Developer Program.”

This would be wonderful. But I think it should be free, for my devices (and the ones of my family) and perhaps make the 20 a year so I can distribute to 20 other devices? Ok, no scratch that it should just five us free side loading.

@V_ Yeah, collectively we already pay for these devices several times over, making Apple one of the most profitable businesses ever. No way Apple gets me to pay for the “privilege” of writing my own custom software just because it’s their device it’s running on.
