Finally replaced my aging 2016 MacBook Pro and went for a M2 MacBook Air. Really impressed with the computing power this thing has: I’m running a Windows 11 VM full-screen on a 5K2K LG ultra wide monitor and macOS on the internal display and the machine doesn’t even get warm.

@fgtech if you don’t rely on too many apps that require a x86 architecture, it may be worth giving it a try.

@mangochutney Did you have to give up anything on x86 you will miss? I think most of my essentials have finally updated, but haven’t dug into that yet. There are still a few months before I’ll have any real time for a laptop anyway. Might wait for M3.

@fgtech Not that I'm noticing, honestly. All of the core apps I need are there, although I cannot say if all have been optimised.
