Sorry Walmart, I don’t use self-checkouts unless you are going to pay me to do the work. If I’m standing in your store trying to give you my money you would think you could be bothered to have an employee available to take it. It’s like you don’t care.

When I find myself stuck in the same situation I am usually torn between the thoughts you articulated and the impulse to get the hell out of there as quickly as possible. Even before COVID-19 I found it stifling inside those enormous warehouse stores.
@bradenslen what made you think they did? They don’t pay their own staff enough to live on … why bother with customers?
@bradenslen I like self-checkout, though obviously not in Walmart — we don’t have them here. It tends to be faster, with shorter lines, and I don’t get stuck behind someone who needs to go and find a few more items to bring their total up to €50 so they can use their voucher! Maybe I’m just antisocial and don’t like talking to people.
