I heard the best way to get motivated to do something is to say to yourself “do it for five minutes and if it isn’t working out, you can stop.” I’ve tried it and it works. Sure, you may stop, but usually you’ll just carry on with the task. #mbnov

@lmika I like this approach, but I’m surprised how I sometimes feel suspicious of myself over the “you can stop after 5 minutes if you want” part and need to stress the point. “No, seriously, you can stop after 5 mine. No judgement.”

@everson Yes, exactly! Part of the deal with this approach is that if you do stop, you're not to feel bad or guilty for doing so. Maybe you're just not feeling it today. And that's okay; at least you started. (I wanted to include this in the original post but couldn't keep it within 280 characters).
