I’m thinking about going all-in on a Bullet Journal or some other analog system. I’ve dabbled before, but never fully committed for more than a few days without a digital system in parallel.
@KimberlyHirsh Yeah, I could never realistically go 100% analog. I'll need to find a balance. I know my calendar will always be digital. Where I would get the most benefit from analog is the daily notes, tasks, journaling. Using analog slows me down, which I find useful. I can pretty easily scan anything I want to keep and search digitally. What do you prefer to use analog vs. digital?
@ericgregorich I use digital for calendar, quick notes, and things I know I'll want to be easily readable/searchable later. I use my Bullet Journal for daily tasks, planning, long-term notes, reading notes, and anything else that my brain and body tell me they need physicality to get done.
@ericgregorich I find it hard to stick with analog mainly due to the difficulty to keep it with me. I’ve tried to carry a pen and pocket journal on the go with the idea of transferring entries in the evening but I rarely remember to take it with me. My phone, I always have on me.
@timapple @ericgregorich Bullet Journal has a companion app, in which the best feature of it is a reminder to port your notes over from your phone, tablet, or whatever. You can jot notes within the app itself. But, I’ve found a set of BuJo actions with the app Drafts 5, where you can jot a quick note and quickly amend it to a daily note. Paired with even a repeating reminder, this could be a solution.
@skoobz It’s been a while since I looked at the Bullet Journal app. I’m going to use it again. Especially, since it now has widgets for quicker access. I like how it discards any tasks or notes after 72 hours.
