Does one need to quit Facebook or merely change how one uses Facebook? It’s like nobody has self control. When my smartphone rings I am capable of not picking it up to answer it, truly. It’s not that hard.

@frankm Facebook as a tool is amazing and you certainly can use self control to manage usage. For me, it’s Facebook as a company that I cannot support. They’ve shown very little interest in changing their ways over the years. There are plenty of tools that can get me 80% of the way without sacrificing my beliefs any longer.

@frankm You’ve got a valid point. It’s a matter of choice, I suppose. Hate their model, hate their lack of ethics. I keep an account to occasionally check in on others from afar... and to buy the occasional card catalog. Because they’re getting hard to find.
