I’m going to spend a lot of time investigating if it is possible to do the following:

Use software, and use the web without any of my activity being tracked.

That includes finding the research of other people, from across different parts of the world and our societies.

@simonwoods www.goodreads.com/book/show... is a good place to start. The book does a very good job of contextualizing what is actually collected and surveilled (tl;dr so much more than most people realize)

@eli Thanks Eli! I think this is going to be a longer term process for me. I feel like impatience played a significant role in creating a world wherein it is so easy to justify tracking people for all their worth, and as such want to make sure my own investigation is comprimised by falling into the same trap.

@mcg Thanks! On the face of it that certainly seems to be the case. All of these large companies and their cheerleaders spend an awful lot of resources in an effort to shove their message into your face. If I can find paths out of this I am going to make sure to document it as much as possible and just try to get the message out there.
