Had one of those shower thoughts…apply machine learning to a restaurant POS to better control inventory. Probablying being done, right?

@miklb would you need machine learning to do this, or would just being able to tie inventory to particular menu items be enough?

inventory to ingredients is one thing, but detecting trends to be able to scale up for a dish so as to not sell out would be another. Reverse would also helpful. Especially with commodities and perishables.
