I’m back to woodworking after more than a year without a shop. During the long transition to move to a new home, I got rid of my remaining power tools. I’m now a 100% hand tool shop for my projects. Started out by making a box out of scrap pine to warm up after such a long hiatus. I’m rusty!

@troykitch congrats on going hand tool only—looks like a good start back! And secured with Old Brown Glue, I see?

@dwalbert Thanks! Old Brown Glue is just the best. I've been mostly hand tool only for many years, but I finally ditched my circular saw which I used for plywood and outdoor projects. But I decided just to go all in. I have some 8/4 cherry to cut this weekend and I'm a bit anxious about it.

@troykitch I have kept my hand held circular saw for 8/4 wood, but I don’t always bother getting it out… and the time I made cabriole-ish legs from 12/4 stock I had to rip it by hand anyway because the saw couldn’t handle it. Saves the gym membership I guess. But I am frequently grateful for the saw sharpening class I took a bunch of years ago!

@dwalbert 12/4. Makes me break out in sweat just reading that!
