94 Years Ago Today, Charles A. Levine became the first transatlantic air passenger. Levine, certainly a largely imperfect character, has been largely forgotten by history.

Well, people were offended when President Coolidge invited Chamberlain, the pilot to the White House on return, but did not invite Levine, the owner/passenger with him. That’s how we got some 4 Levine themed songs, like Levine Mit Zayn Flying Machine, and Levine Der Groyser Man…both available on YouTube if you search.

@dshanske What stood out most to me in the Wikipedia article was that Levine was arrested for helping a fugitive from a concentration camp to escape. I’ll look up the songs and try to understand them with my ever so limited German knowledge.
