Just started a new, to me, book by Eugene Peterson. The opening sentences:
“The puzzle is why so many people live so badly. Not so wickedly, but so inanely. Not so cruelly, but so stupidly.”
This book is going to be something else.

@danielmrose Seem like that book isn't as well known among Peterson's writings...I wasn't familiar with it until I read Bono raving about it being one of his favorites.
@johnchandler same! That’s where I heard of it as well. I had to stop and ponder after the first three or four paragraphs. Yeesh… it’s some tough stuff. In a good way.
