@stokini thank you!! No, I believe it is a piece of maple. It does look like ash though! Much easier to work than Ash is :)

@djt Agreed! Ash is beautiful, but you certainly do have to sharpen more often. 😉

@stokini sharpening is what I’m struggling with the most TBH. Knowing how sharp is enough, getting a good consistent grind on the bowl gouge.

@djt Yeah, sharpening is a whole second skill set to master!
