@brentsimmons I've noticed that iOS gets a lot of the short-term, sensational coverage in the media whilst the Mac tends to get better coverage in the form of well considered, longer term perspectives.

@simonwoods Outside of Macstories.net, the Sweet Set-up, and various personal blogs, long form pieces on any app are relatively uncommon.

@brentsimmons There’s so much potential growth for RSS apps, particularly on iOS. My parents aren’t even on Facebook or other social networks, so it’s definitely an app I want to share with them - I wanted to do that in person, but I’m not sure when that will be...

@simonwoods Long-form was the wrong phrase (I was distracted by a child, and I should have reviewed my writing). I meant well-considered. Most Apple-centric websites offer little more than a press release for apps. But some clearly spend time with apps, and I think it shows.

@brentsimmons interesting data! I reckon it’s at least partly due to there being more and better existing RSS apps on iOS than macOS.
