I think I may have over-bought Christmas coffee. It’s past twelfth night, and I still have two bags of beans to go.
@adders I buy 4 Kg at a time to avoid delivery charge. At my present rate of consumption (2 double espressos a day, where once I’d drink 4) that lasts me a little less than 6 weeks. As far as I can tell, the beans keep their flavour over that period.
@artkavanagh Oh, they’ll be fine. I’m just feeling odd drinking festive blends! Maybe I should use the Candlemas exception…
@adders Wait, there’s Christmas coffee!? Weve always got some Christmas tea, but I don’t recall ever seeing coffee.
@devilgate Yes - several of the roasters I buy from were selling Christmas blends, and some of them have been doing it for years.
One of them even sells a coffee advent calendar…
@adders You live and learn. And hopefully remember for later this year. Only 348 days till Christmas, I guess.
@devilgate Most of the roasters don't let me forget… the emails start early December. But I'll make a mental note to post here.
