I’m very disappointed to find that Victorinox no longer makes the simple 2-bladed Swiss Army pocket knife that I’ve carried for years. I find it hard to believe that they would discontinue it!

@the Which model was it? I’m partial to the Alox Cadet (I have a few).

@Mtt It’s the Pocket Pal. Slim, lightweight. Exactly what I need.

@the I’m not sure that would be legal to carry in the UK

@the Have you seen the Bantam? I still prefer the Cadet (shockingly slim considering what it has). Or if you want a big upgrade and even slimmer, go with a Tactile Knife Bexar.

@Mtt Thanks. I ended up buying a “Precious Alox”, a Victorinox that’s actually a little smaller than I’d like (short, about 5cm, but thin, 1 small blade, a screwdriver/nail-file “blade”, and dinky scissors).

However it’s probably a stopgap until I find something I prefer, so I’ll definitely check out your suggestions!

@derekpeden Are you saying that pen knives aren’t allowed there? Man, your prohibited weapons laws are tough!

@the I’m not sure of the details but there are restrictions with good reason

@derekpeden I don't think they have to worry about this knife! (Victorinox Precious Alox). Teeny tiny blade (1.2”/3cm?). A butter knife is more dangerous (but worse for opening parcels).
