Paladin with a funny expression, while comfy on the kitchen counter, where he isn’t supposed to be, on top of some proofing bread, where he really shouldn’t be. But hey, it’s warm, and in a sunbeam; what’s not to like? 🐈

@dejus I was reading a story where the main character rescued a kitten and lifted it onto the kitchen counter to feed it!!!! Noooo. Great look on Paladin.
@Miraz We used to feed Paladin and Pippin on the counter in the laundry, so their food was out of Rory's reach (and Great Danes can reach quite a lot), but they've never been allowed on the kitchen counters. (Nowadays we have a cabinet with a cat door and food inside, which is much tidier.)
@dejus Great Danes on the counter could be quite inconvenient. Oh, that's not what you meant?
@dejus That must be a big problem with Great Danes. Our dogs are small, but Sasha is long. One time Deb baked and iced a cake for a friend and left it on the dining table. We later found one side of icing 'missing’ because Sasha had been able to stand up against the table and just reach it with her tongue. 🤪
@MitchWagner Well, Rory isn't allowed on counters either. She's so big, she could reach most of the counter if she tried.
@Miraz Heh, naughty. Fortunately Rory is pretty good about that, though we have to tell her to go elsewhere when we're eating at the dining table, as her head is above the table height.
@dejus Great Danes are cute because they don't know how big they are and when they have moments of realization they find it embarassing.
@MitchWagner Yeah, we're always joking that Rory thinks she is a Chihuahua. She never knows what her back half is doing.
@dejus There's a viral video out there of the aftermath of an enormous dog trying to climb on some guy's lap in a recliner. The dog has topped the recliner backwards, the man is lying on top of the recliner, and the dog is laying on top of the man, happily wagging its tail.
@MitchWagner I can totally visualize that. There's a reason Rory has never been allowed on our couch or chairs. Or bed, for that matter.
