We unplugged yesterday and took a trip to Hana on the Eastern edge of Maui, spending the day with some friends at Hamoa Beach. @simonwoods If you had said to me 15 years ago that I would be living in Hawaii, I would have wondered where in the world your reasoning was coming from. I do miss “home” at times, but this island has treated me well. I have a lot to thank her for.

@dejus @crossingthethreshold I know nowhere is perfect but the thought of living in such a place is an increasingly tantalising idea.

@simonwoods @dejus I sometimes fantasize, especially if things aren't going well in the world, that I am in the best place - isolated, away from whatever is going on. I'm not sure that that is true, but it can put my mind at ease for a few hours/days.
