Writing on a compact Mac is just so pleasant. There are absolutely no distractions. No internet, no multitasking, not even inline spell checking. But you still get a nice rich text editor with a high quality keyboard.

@decarbonization Are you using MacWrite? I grew up with a System 7 era Mac, and have never found a word processor that felt quite as natural as the one in ClarisWorks, the spiritual successor to MacWrite.
@fine I’m actually using an ancient version of MS Word. It’s able to export to RTF so inter-op with modern computers is relatively easy. I do have fond memories of ClarisWorks though!
