This has gone semi-viral on Threads. Weird.

Mum gave me £40 to buy two haddock, one chips, and three peas from the chippy. I gave her £20 back and said, “don’t be daft.”

@davidmarsden that’s a bit sad. Our local fish and chips is £2.50 cheaper than that - and that’s at the posh chip shop too. It’s £4.20 cheaper at the ordinary chippy. But maybe no one wants to know this 🫠
