Woke up to the fun task of disputing specious YouTube copyright claims on the public domain Superman cartoons I patched up a fews summers ago. Seems to be someone claiming Sammy Timberg’s theme, but the movies have been out of copyright for decades.

@DrOct You fill out a little form and then the claimant gets to decide whether your dispute is valid. (I’ll know within 30 days if there’s a step after that.)

@DrOct Mmm hmm. In this case the effect is only to de-monetize the videos, which I already don’t run ads on, so there’s no actual change for me, but in I felt I had to object in principle. If they want they can have YouTube pull your video immediately.
