My Kindle Paperwhite bit the dust. On the lookout for a replacement that can read Kindle books. Do I stick with Kindle Paperwhite? Buy the Supernote that I’ve had my eyes on for awhile? Different Kindle model?

@joshuapsteele Well, since nobody smart has weighed in, I will: love Kindle's battery life compared to my virtual Kindle, an iPad Mini. I hate Kindle's unresponsive keyboard for notes and that I can't clip from it to another app. I know nothing about the Supernote except what I just read.

@joshuapsteele I've been considering the Onyx Boox Leaf 2 since Jason Snell wrote about it on Six Colors last week. Seen several very positive reviews since then. I also use Scribd for books, which can also be loaded on there. And Logos too...

@joshuapsteele All I know is that for reading at night I want e-ink and physical buttons. I’ve been nursing my cracked Oasis along for over a year.

@joshuapsteele I’ve looked at a couple of e-ink solutions over the year and always get very close to making a decision just to get thrown back into the pro-con loop again. Onyx, Boox and remarkable are some that I keep coming back to. And just a plain old kindle.

@joshuapsteele It appears so. I gather it's an Android device but with a B&W screen, and that you can run Kindle app, Nook app, Kobo app, etc. See this

@joshuapsteele yes, you can install the Android Kindle app. I used to have one of the smaller Boox tablets. A Kindle is still the best way to read Kindle books I think, and the trade off is a little more friction to start reading. But if you want to access multiple reading methods, it worked very well in my experience.
