Finished reading the Expanse series last week. The whole thing is so great. It starts as a compelling vision of a future where mankind has spread throughout the solar system and grows into something much much bigger. You get to know and love a growing and fascinating cast of characters.... noahread.net

@noah I just finish book one recently after watching the whole TV series first. I was pleasently surprised that it still felt readable and distinct, I usually prefer reading the books first. How does the rest of the series hold versus the TV, diverge a lot?

@agundy it diverges a bit as the seasons progress. Characters are combined in the TV series. But the overall plots are pretty accurate. The series ends with book 6, so there are 3 books worth of story beyond that. I loved the TV series too, I didn’t feel let down.

@noah The Expanse is my favorite science fiction book series ever. Ever read Altered Carbon? It’s the only sci-fi that ever grabbed me as totally as The Expanse did.

@marclafountain I haven’t. The Expanse is the first sci-fi I’ve read since I was a teenager, so I feel really spoiled. Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll check it out
