@atpfm in the last episode you all mentioned that that you haven’t enabled iCloud Advanced Data Protection yet: I know that Backblaze has had a feature to enter a Private Encryption Key for your backups for a while now. I’ve never thought about enabling it until now. Do any of you use this feature?

@siracusa how do you safely store the key? I was thinking maybe putting a text file containing the key within an encrypted sparse image but maybe thats a strange idea

@andybb Apple Keychain is fine, but it’s a good idea to have it in more than one place, of course.

@andybb I keep my Backblaze encryption key in my 1Password vault, personally.
