I’ve had a long, slow return to running after an injury. I started with 1 minute on, 1 minute off, then 2 on, 1 off, etc., for WEEKS. I’m finally back up to 40 minutes ~3.5 miles. I think I’m going to stay here for a while in order not to tempt fate. Feels great, though!

@danielpunkass glad to hear you're able to run again. Now more than ever we all need something that makes us feel better.

@danielpunkass I've found as I have come back from running injuries as I have gotten older the safest way for me to increase miliage has been to run twice a day shorter runs rather then adding miles to a single run. And if you think you are adding mile too slowly... slow down more adding miles ;)

@sdevore Interesting idea to split it up. I might try that.

@danielpunkass It's harder to do here in the desert in the summer because if you are not done running by 7AM you are going to get cooked ;) It was the only way I could keep training for a 70.3 and coming back from a hamstring pull (at 50+)
