@dominikhoecht I started The Stand a month or two ago and fell into this exact problem with it. Which is weird because I've finished both Under the Dome and 11/22/63, which are not short at all. There's nothing wrong with the book, but he really does like to create a complete world. I'll need to try again with it because, by all accounts, it's amazing.

@dominikhoecht I couldn't agree with you more there. I'm curious, did you ever watch the Hulu mini-series?
@dominikhoecht The book far outweighs the mini-series, definitely. Which isn't to say that the mini-series was bad. It just wasn’t nearly as good as the book. Like with all adaptations, I don’t think it's always possible to get into the head of the characters, which was such an important part of Jake Epping. Eh, at least there's always the book to continue enjoying in the future.
