@jeff from the Barebones website: If you use Dropbox, you can relocate your BBEdit application support data to your active Dropbox folder, and BBEdit will use them there in preference to the locations in ~/Library/. In this way, you can easily share supporting files with multiple BBEdit installations (handy for multiple machines on your desk).

I wish there was a way to sync language-specific settings for BBEdit via Dropbox.

@daiwei I’ve been syncing the supporting files for a while, but language-specific settings are part of the preferences, which can’t be synced that way (per the note on the same page you linked to). Unless I’m misunderstanding?

@jeff hmm, not sure, I don't use BBEdit. If you know where the settings you want to synchronise are stored, simply copy that file(s) to where you want them on Dropbox, and symlink it/them? Have you try it?
