Nervously awaiting a call from the vet. 😬 Zen had some symptoms this morning that I could not ignore, so the vet asked me to bring her in for an emergency appointment.

@cygnoir I got in my timeline but I am also following you so I'm not sure what happens when we have brief exchanges with people we're not following. (this is on the web)
@cygnoir Yeah I think it works well. When I have had occasions like that in the past I’ve just posted it as a regular microblog post rather than a reply, but I think as a reply is just as effective.
@simonwoods @cygnoir the message would show up in non-followers' timelines if the users in question have their preferences set to show all mentions from people they're following, even if the mentions are to people not also being followed. Hope that makes sense.
@cygnoir I would thinking replying to yourself would work best. The people who initially saw your post must have been following you already. If you were to reply to specific people, those who opted to not show replies to people they’re not following (but had been following the thread without commenting) would not see anything.
