@amit One of my favorite things about MB is this lack of required title. If it’s just something short, no need from a title. When I find myself writing something longer, then I’m willing to come up with a title.
@agilelisa Yeah, Manton understood this perfectly. And got the whole ecosystem right with Micro.blog. I also admire his focus to not deviate from his initial goal for the platform of being a blog first with aspects of social.
@amit This is a hangup I had with Bearblog. It forces a title and thus has virtually no support for microposts. If people are being encouraged to write freely about anything, this is antithesis to that.
@amit This is something I love about Micro.blog. I doubt I would have hung around for long if I had to think up a title for each post, especially because I love a good title.
@pimoore Absolutely, and unfortunately Bearblog isn't alone. Every new blogging platform starts with Titled posts as default. Micro.blog and Write.as got it right -- only ones I use.
@cygnoir Oh yes. I try every new platform and, yet, Micro.blog is the only one that stuck the longest. One big reason is its ability to post all kinds of posts. I don't think there's another platform that does it all this well.
@amit This is a big reason why I came back to micro(dot)blog. Just dead simple to post something... anything, and just get it out into the ether... That and the active community that engages and conversates around here. It's really good for asynchronous chatter too.
