Not too long ago everyone was raving about how cool the feature in Feedbin was for newsletters. Now everyone seems to use Hey for newsletters. I’m wondering what will it be next month.

@pratik I’m doing custom email, automatically forwarded to a folder on NewsBlur, and read them on Reeder... it’s my “this month’s greatest thing” 😊
@pratik I really like how Hey handles newsletters. It's funny how much more I enjoy reading them when they are all rolled up together the way Hey does it.
@pratik If there's one section of Hey that I dislike the most, it is The Feed. It sucks, and not a good interface for newsletters. I still like Stoop.
@amit I imagine that your Hey trial is coming to an end? Have you decided whether to stick with the service or not?
@crossingthethreshold wish I could say I have. Hey makes my email even more worthless than it already is for me. I hardly see any emails getting filtered through to me. I am yet decide if it's a good thing or a bad one 🤷♀️
@amit Two weeks ago I did not know that Hey existed. @vincent made me aware of it. I signed up for the trial out of curiosity and after an initial play, I decided that it wasn’t for me and left it for a week. Then after reading people speak about it here and there, I went back for another look and give it a deeper look. It has definitely helped me in managing my email. I still have to decide if it is the way for me. I can see options both way. After the weekend I’ll make my decision.
@maique @ladyhope @amit @dominikhoecht @crossingthethreshold It took me a while to convert but now I can read newsletters only in my feed reader. That way, if I’m away for too long, I can simply Mark All as Read and move on. No inbox stress.
@adamprime I guess but I prefer to read them like an article at leisure so makes sense for me to see them in my feed reader.
@pratik That’s the same reasoning for me. I was getting a little stressed with all of them showing up on my inbox, so now I can do the same when I don’t have the time 😊
@pratik I discovered the Feedbin feature of subscribing to newsletters by accident. I was looking for a new RSS reader, was trying Feedbin and stumbled across the newsletter feature. For me it has been a boon. Newsletters do not fill up my Inbox, if I get behind like you I can mark as read, and I actually feel as though I read more as the stress is not there.
@bix I read newsletters in Feedbin via NetNewsWire, not directly in Feedbin. I am happy with what I see in NetNewsWire and have never questioned it. @pratik
@pratik Most newsleeters update weekly, so if you're away for a few weeks it's not that big of a deal. I use Kill the Newsletter to do mine. I'm not using Feedbin, so my reader doesn't have that feature.
@ladyhope Got it. Which ones do you subscribe to? I have couple of daily ones that can get overwhelming.
@amit I appreciate you letting me know, Amit. Thank you. And for sharing your reasons. I can resonate with some of them. I have a couple of days left on my trial. I have reasons to subscribe and reasons not to, and shall come to a decision in the next 48 hours.
@amit I have decided to sign up for HEY, Amit. Over the last two weeks, the last week in fact as I let me trial subscription lanquish for a week after I decided on first look that HEY was not for me, HEY has definitely helped me email workflow. Time will tell if I fall back into old patterns or if HEY can keep me out of them. I have a couple of concerns/questions going forward, but at the moment for me the pros out weigh the cons.
