One of the reasons I dislike Apple’s change to the strict annual schedule for major releases is the effect it has had on indie development. I see so many people assuming that a lack of update = dead software. Not only that but there is panic about it. Hysterical and unhealthy.
@simonwoods Agree. I catch myself just having the expectation of an update, when really there is no need. The software is working fine. I want something new and glistening because that is what has appeared elsewhere.
@crossingthethreshold Same here. I understand how it can be a red flag but I've seen lots of people take it too far the other end, and then I just feel sorry for developers.
